Protecting & Developing New Mexico
Over the past twenty years, HREC has developed some of Albuquerque's premier subdivisions. Many of our developments have been in the far northeast heights and were instrumental in the formation of the La Cueva Sector Plan. As we move forward with current and future developments, we recognize the unique beauty of New Mexico's natural landscape and are committed to limiting the impact our developments have on disturbing that beauty. Indeed, we value being sensitive to homeowners' values and protecting the integrity of surrounding neighborhoods.
As an outgrowth to our commitment to our lovely city and the surrounding environment, we have incorporated various green building principles with the goal of achieving LEED-CS certification on our most recent project, Hope Plaza. Where we are incorporating features in the new office buildings that use glazing to maximize day-lighting, low-emitting toxins and recycled materials, highly reflective roofs, and low water use landscaping. We believe that energy efficient buildings, not only serve to increase a company's profits; but, can help enhance and safeguard New Mexico's beauty for future generations!
